My first real attempt to compose a piece of music started when I bought PC 386 in 1992. I used Modedit and PC Speaker and result was nothing more than a simple, repeating tune. I realized that I have to practice some music theory. I was attending violin and piano musical lessons, but the principles of composing remained unknown to me. In next years, I was looking into structure of other mods and getting used with the tracker, and practicing some harmonies on my old piano. In 1994, I compose three MOD tunes for demo called GJH '94, which won Demobit '94 competition. But anyway, these tunes were also too simple. In 1995, I composed an MOD and S3M entry for Demobit '95 competition, but in that time was techno most beloved style of music and my style was slightly different. My first song, which was worth something, was Crusader, that I composed in 1997 using Impulse Tracker. It was an orchestral tune and I realized that this is the style that represents my feeling and I really like it. But first version of this tune had very poor samples. After some time I tried to improve their quality. In the meantime, I tried to compose some rave-styled tracks. I took inspiration from Prodigy. Result was soundtrack for Lowlevel demo and stand-alone music named Dark Portal. I was really amazed that most people liked this song. In my next tunes, I took inspiration from Conan The Barbarian and The Rock soundtracks. They really influenced my work, and I can also say, my life. My next tune was Guardian of Destiny, which won the Fiasko '98 competition. It was most like The Rock tunes, but anyway not exactly the same. Then I composed Steel Dawn, again an orchestral tune, but the samples and structure had still something to fit. In 1999, I made a soundtrack for Dream demo, which won Fiasko '99 competition and song named Riddle Of Steel. This time I tried to improve structure and sample quality. In the beginning of year 2000, I started working on Demobit '00 productions. At the first time I had opportunity to compose soundtrack to a wild demo. And my contribution to multi-channel compo, Legend Of Crym, was another orchestral piece. I took inspiration from various orchestral tunes I heard before. So check it out.
